To describe the wedding of Mike and Dana as special is an understatement. All weddings are magical, but with the gorgeous rustic wedding decoration surrounding the beautiful Del Mar Country Club, this couple’s wedding was nothing short of spectacular. The sunny day in Del Mar, the beautiful sunset after the ceremony, and the picturesque golf course worked together to create a day that their guests will forever remember. The combination of all these also made my first Del Mar Country Club wedding photography one for the books.

I had the pleasure of photographing their beautiful San Diego engagement session a couple of months before the wedding. Mike and Dana work with horses, so they wanted their engagement session at The Del Mar Racetrack. I had a great time getting to know the place and the couple better.

Mike and Dana’s day was full of love and laughter from the newlywed’s absolute devotion to each other. Love swept everyone away. There was love when Mike helped his adorable boy to get ready for the big event. There was love when Dana’s girlfriends spent time with her in the bridal suite, creating more memories before she finally becomes a Missus.

Love was evident when their family and friends shared their emotional yet funny speeches with everyone. And there was an abundance of love and dance moves during the reception party. Their wedding was full of love, affection, charm, and happiness.

Taking formal and candid photos of the couple was an absolute thrill. It was a great moment when the majestic sunset and the impressive Del Mar golf course played as a stunning backdrop for the portrait shots of the happy couple. Mike and Dana’s happiness emitted such positive, delighted energy throughout the day that capturing their moments with their loved ones was pure joy for me, too.
