Twin Oaks Garden and Estate Wedding with Fernando & Rogellyn

Bride wiping her tears and bridesmaids looking during Twin Oaks Garden and Estates Wedding ceremony in San Marcos

Weddings have always been one of my favorite things to photograph, and Twin Oaks Garden and Estate are one of my favorite wedding venues in San Diego county. So, I was very excited about Fernando and Rogellyn’s big day in San Marcos.

San Diego is a great place to get married because it offers many different types of wedding venues to choose from. You can pick from a more urban wedding in downtown San Diego or go to a more rustic setting at a winery in Temecula. You can choose a gorgeous estate-like Twin Oaks Garden and Estate or pick one of the many gold courses available. And of course, you can have a beachside wedding and get some photos near the ocean. In San Diego, the perfect weather allows weddings all year round.

With all those options available, I believe Twin Oaks weddings are some of the best. This San Marcos Estate offers plenty of parking for guests, a bridal suite, and a groom getting ready spot - now with a pool table. You can also choose from several ceremony locations. They offer a tent area for the wedding reception, great food (they have their catering service, and you will not be disappointed), and very professional and attentive staff.

Aside from all that, my favorite thing about Twin Oaks Garden and Estate Weddings is the vast choices of locations for portraits and great afternoon lighting. It’s always fun to take the newlyweds around for some photos and alone time, and I know Twin Oaks Garden and Estate will deliver some opportunities for beautiful portraits.

The day started with Fernando and Rogellyn getting ready separately at Twin Oaks Garden and Estate. While the girls were emotional about the wedding, the guys played pool and had fun before the wedding celebration. The ceremony was set up gorgeously, with one of the most beautiful asymmetrical arches I have ever seen.

I took the time to do a quick first look at the bride and groom in front of the historic house. Fernando was very excited to see Rogellyn in the wedding dress and ready to become his wife. We had planned to do some family photos before the wedding, and it worked perfectly.

It was a beautiful ceremony, and the couple cried quite a few times. They didn’t hide the emotion as they finally tied the knot after many years. Their families were notably happy and shed a few tears during the vow's exchange. The Twin Oaks Garden and Estate Wedding ended with a long kiss and a happy bride and groom leaving the aisle.

When the wedding was over, I took the bride and groom for a little walk around Twin Oaks Garden. We started at the orange trees with a very rustic vibe. We went to the greenhouse and the front of the property. The white and purple flowers were blooming at the beginning of the spring.

Fernando and Rogellyn were rockstars and made my job easy. They started following directions well, but I slowly allowed them to take over and interact more with each other the way they’re used to. By the end of the session bride and groom were having a great time, and the photos show exactly that. Wedding portraits are always fun at Twin Oaks Garden and Estate Weddings!

After some beautiful photos bride and groom were ready for their Twin Oaks Garden and Estate Wedding reception grand entrance. Their family and friends welcomed them with open arms, and the party was on. The couple was ready to dance with their loved ones, and I was happy to witness another successful Twin Oaks Wedding.
