San Diego Engagement Photos With Justin & Eileen

by | Apr 6, 2018

It took a lot of email exchange to pick the perfect locations for Justin and Eileen’s engagement session. But, it was one of the most fun San Diego engagement photos I have ever done.

From the beginning, Eileen mentioned they enjoyed riding on her convertible together. I thought it would be a good addition to the photo shoot. We met in Carlsbad, to try to capture the couple riding on the car. I was photographing from the sunroof of my own car, definitely not the easiest task, but I manage to get some good shots of them enjoying their favorite ride.

We drove down to Encinitas, and stopped by the beach for some more photos with the car, but not before we found a few interesting locations. Justin and Eileen really enjoyed their time by the beach. Now, it was time for some Tacos.

In Pacific Beach, we opted to stop by Taco Surf, due to the cool decor they have. It’s a very laid back taco shop, that has dozens of surfboards hanging from the walls and ceiling. And the food is very good! We decided to take a walk to the Pacific Beach Chrystal Pier, to enjoy the sun that was quickly going down. With amazing back light and wooden pillars, the PB Pier is one of my favorite locations to photograph people. Anytime I’m in the area during San Diego engagement photos, I recommend to my clients a quick stop there.

A little before sunset, Justin and Eileen did some walking on the shoreline. It was another gorgeous afternoon for San Diego engagement photos, and the low tide brought an even more unique setup.

I can’t wait for Justin and Eileen’s wedding later this year. They have been great to work with, and I’m looking forward to creating some unique memories at their wedding.
